Key Points!
-Install inter ply sheets w/sand finish bottom w/hot asphalt or cold adhesive.
-Start at low point roof and begin w/a
1/2 sheet -- Hot asphalt
method
-If low point is at edge start w/1/2 sheet,
have seam go over the drain.
-Install 2,3, or 4 asphalt plys.
-If graveling must use 3/ply system
-Laps min (18 1/2" head lap) and (12" side
lap w/rolls start and end).
-Roll out inter ply sheet using correct
lapping and then back roll each end.
-Apply asphalt Below 50 degrees 4 ft max,
above 50 degrees 10 ft max.
-Continuous bleed out at side lap is needed.

Cold Adhesive method
-Single layer of modified bitumen inter-ply,
set in cold adhesive.
-Approx.1.5 - 2 gallons cold adhesive needed
per 100 sq ft roof area.
-Pour cold adhesive as far as you like in
front of rolled out sheet
-Spread w/notched neoprene squeegee.
-Lap 6" and set top lap in adhesive where
rolls meet at end/start.
-Start at low point roof and begin w/a 1/2 sheet --
Torch-on method
-Applied w/flaming propane torch.
-Continuous Bleed when torch on temperature is correct.
-Remove wrapping tape.
-Roll out and back roll keeping rolls straight.
-Lap min. 6" where rolls end/start.
